We don't take it for Granite : FINALLY - we have granite. It's more gorgeous than I imagined! Since the air conditioner died, I've been laying naked on the bar - the stone is very cool.

January '06 Construction Pics : Most of the tube and knob wiring is gone, and the framing of the tray ceiling for the dining room and kitchen is complete. Now for the fun stuff - picking out the tile for the floor and backsplash. Looks like we're going with a cream slate for both, with funky glass accent tiles of "Blue Bayou" in the backsplash. Did we mention that our favorite Bob the Builder is doing the work? Check out Artisan Construction.

The House Dejungled January '06 : After 3 days of 8 men chopping, pulling, raking, and hauling... we discovered that jungle we bought actually had a house inside. Unfortunately, you can now see the porch's "tin roof....rusted".
